The Aldersgate Ward Club was greatly honoured that the Lord Mayor, Alderman Vincent Keaveny, the Lady Mayoress and Alderman Sheriff Alison Gowman, attended the Civic Lunch on Friday 28th January 2022
The 73 guests enjoyed a superb lunch of smoked salmon, roast Gressingham duck, and a trio of English desserts, with accompanying wines, followed by port or brandy and chocolate truffles.
Whilst introducing the Lord Mayor, the Master presented him with a cheque from the Aldersgate Ward Club for his Appeal Charity. The Appeal, entitled “A Better City for All”, aims to find solutions to the most pressing societal issues in London and beyond and create a City that is inclusive, healthy, skilled and fair.
It was a very happy occasion which was noticeably enjoyed by all present and it was good that we could all meet together again.
