1860 - The Club Founded
1909 - The Club Revised
1967 - Alderman Sir Gilbert Inglefield, President of the Club, elected Lord Mayor
1969 - Membership 81
1970 - Subscription reduced to £2/10s pa
and the first Member from USA joined
1972 - Annual Luncheon to the Lord Mayor instigated
1973 - Lady Members rejected
1975 - Lady Members accepted at AGM
1977 - Senior Warden Joe Brown elected Sheriff
- Master Donald Silk revived the custom of Beating the Bounds
now held annually on St Botolph's Day (17th June)
1980 - Sir Francis McWilliams elected Alderman for Ward of Aldersgate and Club President
1981 - Past Master Joe Brown elected Chief Commoner and awarded CBE
1982 - Rodney Fitzgerald elected Sheriff; Master in 1988
1983 - First Lady Master, Mrs Audrey Ballard
1985 - Past Master A Brian Wilson retired after 30 years as Hon. Treasurer
1986 - Membership 194
1988 - President Alderman Sir Francis McWilliams elected Sheriff
1988 - Past Master A Brian Wilson elected Chief Commoner
1989 - Past Master John Williams retired after 25 years as Hon. Secretary
1991 - Membership 216
1992 - President Alderman Sir Francis McWilliams elected Lord Mayor
1993 - AGM held in the Mansion House by kind permission of the Lord Mayor
1994 - Mrs Joyce Nash, Master and Deputy for the Ward of Aldersgate
1995 - Past Master Tony Sykes retired after 6 years as Hon. Secretary
- Mrs Paula Cullen, Master - her grandfather was one of the founding members in 1909
and subsequently twice its Master
1996 - Sir Francis McWilliams retired as Alderman
- Mr Nicholas Anstee elected Alderman for the Ward of Aldersgate and Club President
1998 - First American citizen, David Fisher, elected Master who became a Freeman
of the City during his year in office
1999 - Mrs Barbara Newman CC served as Chief Commoner and was awarded CBE
2002 - Christine Goode probably first New Zealander serving as Master
- Deputy Joyce Nash appointed Chief Commoner and awarded OBE
2004 - The President, Alderman Nicholas Anstee, elected to serve as Sheriff
2004 - The Master, Rodney van Tienen, planted a new Aldersgate Tree in Aldersgate Street
2009 - The President, Alderman Nicholas Anstee, served as Lord Mayor of The City for 2009-10,
the Club celebrated with a float in the Lord Mayor's Show
- Member Peter Cook served as Sheriff
2010 - The Club holds its Annual Civic Lunch at Mansion House
2011 - Past Master, Mrs Wendy Mead CC, elected and served as Sheriff
2013 - Past Master, Mr Paul Herbage CStJ, awarded MBE for Voluntary Service to St John Ambulance
2014 - Past Master, Mrs Wendy Mead CC, awarded OBE for Civic and Community Services - London
2015 - Membership 212

2017 - Past Master, Mrs Wendy Mead OBE CC, appointed Chief Commoner
2022 - Mr Nicholas retired as Alderman
Mr Christopher Makin elected Alderman of the Ward and Club President.
